How to Start with NextPOS in 24 Hours — Step-by-Step Guide

You've decided to start with NextPOS? Excellent. In this guide, we'll walk you step by step from the moment of registration to your first payment. The entire process takes less than 24 hours — compared to 2–4 weeks for traditional POS terminals.

Before You Start — What You Need

Before starting the registration process, make sure you have these things ready:

  • An Android or iOS phone with internet access
  • Your business email address (or personal)
  • Your business bank account IBAN
  • Your tax ID number (NIPT)
  • Your full business name
  • About 10 minutes of free time

Step 1 — Register Online (5 minutes)

Visit nextpos.al and click the "Sign Up Free" button. The registration form will open where you need to fill in:

  1. Business name — your officially registered business name
  2. Email — the address where you will receive notifications and invoices
  3. Phone number — for contact and verification
  4. Tax ID (NIPT) — your tax identification number (verified automatically)
  5. IBAN — the bank account where funds will arrive (built-in MOD-97 validation)
  6. Password — minimum 12 characters, with uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and special characters

After filling out the form, click "Register". You will receive a confirmation email. Registration is completely free — no credit card required.

Step 2 — Business Verification

After your account is registered, the NextPOS team begins verifying your business information. Tax ID validity, IBAN, and other details are checked.

During this time, the team may contact you for any additional clarification. Make sure the phone number and email you provided are accessible.

Step 3 — Log In and Explore the Dashboard

Once your account is activated, log into the merchant dashboard at nextpos.al with your email and password. The dashboard gives you:

  • Real-time transaction overview
  • Payment history with filters (date, status, amount)
  • Detailed business reports
  • Account and profile settings
  • QR code generation for payments

Take some time to explore the dashboard before accepting your first payment. Get familiar with the interface — it's simple and intuitive.

Step 4 — Accept Your First Payment

Now comes the best moment — your first payment! Here's how it works:

  1. Click "Create Payment" in the dashboard
  2. Enter the amount in EUR (minimum €0.50)
  3. A QR code is automatically generated on screen
  4. The customer scans the QR code with their phone
  5. Customer is redirected to the secure Paysera page
  6. Customer fills in payment details and confirms
  7. Payment is confirmed — appears in your dashboard immediately!

After Your First Payment — What's Next?

Congratulations! You're now a digital merchant. Here's what you can do next:

  • Check transaction history in the dashboard
  • View bank settlements — funds are transferred to your account
  • Explore detailed reports for different periods
  • Invite other team members for multi-device use
  • Upgrade your plan if you need additional features

Troubleshooting Common Issues

QR Code Won't Scan

If the customer has difficulty scanning the QR code, check: have they enabled camera permissions on their phone, is the lighting sufficient, is your phone screen clean. If nothing works, try regenerating the QR code.

Payment Doesn't Confirm

Check your phone's internet connection. The payment may take up to 30 seconds to process. Check the status in the merchant dashboard — the payment may be pending confirmation from the processor.

Forgot Password

Use the "Forgot Password" function on the login page. You will receive a reset link at your registered email.
